I wouldn't stay here, its nice but no internet!

By Chris Linch

Ten years ago you would have never heard a complaint about a hotel like this. The staff was very rude when questioned on why the internet was down for four hours. You know, I am amazed at how people actually book hotels based on the internet.

I feel like there are many other things that go into making a hotel a nice place. I personally like bars in hotels. I am not a big fan of the hotel internet, and I am known as a guru. I like to look for hotels close to fun things, that are relaxing, so I can enjoy my stay away from home. The last thing I want to do on a trip is burn my time browsing the internet.

We just received a review on my site that rated a hotel 1 out of 5 points because their internet was down. The hotel was a 4 star property. Can you seriously say that the hotel had that bad of service simply because the internet was down. Here is the funny thing. The good points about it were good food, great prices and a large room. Also good parking and the security system is great. The bad points the internet was down.

I just can't believe that it would be an eighty percent deduction for the internet being down. I understand that people on business trips need the internet, so I am not referring to them. What I don't understand is this guy was staying there on his way to port off on a cruise. Look out Carnival, you will get a complaint because there is no internet in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Hide the comment cards. I can't believe this guy can't give up the internet for one night and enjoy the beautiful Cocoa beach.

I guess my point is the internet and travel are almost scary. People travel miles away from home and they have to have the internet or the hotel is no good. I am just the opposite. I like the hotel not to have internet so I can enjoy my time there without wasting it doing internet things. Maybe I am becoming the minority. - 16492
