What are the benefits of using TV wall mounts?

By Peter Thomas

The technological age is bringing some wonderful advantages with it. One of them is the LCD and Plasma TV. You have just got to admit that for family viewing it takes a lot to get better. What is also fantastic is that they do not have to sit on or in furniture any more. By using TV wall mounts you can get the best use of your flat screen.

Flat screens are light and this allows them to be placed in almost any situation. They can be fixed for use in a smaller room, or they can be swivelled if you are going to be using them in a much larger room or where there are two or more positions from which to view your TV. There are many more options available with different TV wall mounts and you can choose which suits your purposes.

TV wall mounts open up a realm of possibilities for great TV viewing in your home. With homes being open plan you can get viewing from many rooms with a large screen, or if you want to position your TV so that it can be swivelled from room to room, you have that options as well.

The positioning your flat screen will, of course vary from size to size and room to room. For example, if you are positioning a flat screen in the kitchen the wall mounts would be placed so that the person working in the kitchen could see it at eye level. By comparison though, if you were positioning it in the bedroom you would have it higher so that you can sit in a reclining position and view the screen.

There are many types of TV wall mounts and they come with various options from fixed right through to cantilevered and swivel together. There really should be no reason why you cannot satisfy your viewing problems with the selection of wall mounts that are available for purchase.

All screens are not the same with the placement of the mounting holes, so you need to be careful that you are purchasing the correct wall mounts for the particular TV that you have purchased or are planning on purchasing.

Wiring will need to be taken through the wall for safety purposes and if you are not confident in doing this it would pay to have a tradesperson come in and take care of that problem for you. Sometimes the threading of the wires is easy, but at other times it can be quite difficult. - 16492
