Using Your Bathroom Vanity as a Centerpiece

By Antonio A. Zidan

Believe it or not, there is a certain science to choosing a bathroom vanity that is going to correctly represent the rest of your home as well as your restroom. The mirror in the bathroom is one of the things your guests are guaranteed to notice because they will by habit check their appearance in the mirror before leaving the restroom. You may not think that this item holds much weight, out of all your decorative items, but as you read you will see that is not the truth.

Generally speaking your indoor outhouse has the highest amount of traffic in your home. This means that your indoor outhouse is constantly under scrutiny by your guests. So no matter what else you do make sure that the design of your indoor outhouse includes a bathroom vanity. Also don't forget that attention grabbing mirror. If your vanity does not match the rest of your indoor outhouses theme it will probably give off a confusing impression that will show your poor sense of design or taste.

Ironically, even public restrooms have vanity mirrors, so you need to step your style up a bit when you choose the correct bathroom vanity mirror to show off your personal taste. Before you can choose the vanity mirror that will best fit in your restroom however, you need to determine the size you will need to make sure the mirror fits in place.

When you choose a specific theme for your indoor outhouse you will have total control over the style of the bathroom vanity mirror. There are so many styles available and if you can't find the exact one you want you can easily create one to fit your needs.

If you have a larger sink, a bathroom vanity that is smaller in size will allow you to add a few accessories that will bring out the trimming. For example, if you choose a wooden trimmed mirror, then small wooden potpourri holders will nicely bring the wood full circle while also adding a bit of a pleasant scent and taste to the room.

When you head out in search of accessories for your theme you will need to look for those types that will match well with the wood theme of your bathroom vanity. If you wanted to add a personal touch you could pick up some type of nature themed item to place on both sides of the vanity mirror. This can add an outdoors feeling throughout the indoor outhouse and accentuate the detail used for the frame of the mirror.

When using wood as your theme, it will come together in the bathroom vanity and the accent colors in the towels. To extend outside of the basic fixtures of the bathroom, you can add more detail through glass etching with a gold or silver. It is up to your theme and taste of style on which color you choose if you are going to add a metallic. - 16492
