On Average Women Apply 175 Chemicals Daily in the Name of Beauty

By Jemma Rivera

Most women are not aware of all the harmful chemicals that they apply to their skin on a daily basis. And this is not just happening once a day, but generally twice or more. You may not realize that the products you grew up using to keep your skin healthy could actually be making matters worse.

Simple everyday products such as bar soap, foundation and even make-up that many women use every day can damage skin if not used with caution. You may be surprised to learn that something as common as toothpaste can be made of inferior materials and actually be unhealthy.

I want to show you a similarity here, have you ever heard of a nicotine patch? These are transdermal, which means the nicotine enters the body through the skin. Now if medical patches can do that, what about the chemicals in skin creams? That's right, whatever you place on the skin may be able to seep in and enter the bloodstream.

If you were to break down some of the products that you use on a daily basis to see exactly what chemicals are involved, you would no doubt be surprised. Chemicals found in many scented products we use can have ill effects on many people. This can include ailments such as allergic rashes, sneezing, headaches, hyperactivity, irritability, depression and even skin discoloration.

There are some who have reported nausea, upper respiratory problems and dizziness. And these complaints just stem from the fragrance causing chemicals; imagine what you might find when examining the side effects of main ingredients.

Getting sick from a relatively minor ingredient in your make-up does not make much sense does it? This is why more people are searching for healthier alternatives for regularly used creams and lotions. When you choose natural ingredients over synthetic chemical based ones you significantly reduce your chance of becoming ill.

The up side will be healthy skin and peace of mind when you throw away your chemical based products for natural ones. There will be a glow to your skin and a spring in your step and that acne you have battled for years can begin to clear up.

There are a great number of manufactures that are realising that people prefer to use natural products and therefore, are incorporating this into the products that they offer to their customers. If you want to feel healthier and have better skin you should consider switching to all natural products. - 16492
